He is currently Clinical Director of the CETI – Centre for the Study and Treatment of Infertility and of the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the CUF Hospital in Porto:
- 2013 – Founded and directed the CETEC (Centre for Education and Training in Surgical Endoscopy) at the CUF Hospital in Porto and the European Society of Gynaecological Surgery.
- 2010 – Director of the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the CUF Hospital in Porto
- 2009 – President of the Medical Association’s Gynaecology/Obstetrics Specialty College, having created the Gynaecology-Oncology and Reproductive Medicine Sub-Specialties.
