Gamete and Embryo Donation

Gamete donation ART involves the use of gametes from third-party donors to produce embryos that will be transferred to the recipient. The donation of female gametes (oocytes), male gametes (spermatozoa) or both (double donation) may be used, depending on the clinical case.

Embryo donation presupposes the existence of cryopreserved embryos obtained during a previous treatment and which will not be used. These embryos can be donated by couples to other recipients in need of MAP treatment. This type of treatment involves preparing the recipient for embryo transfer.

Oocyte Donation

Egg donation is a generous act that can help women and/or couples have a child when the woman is unable to produce eggs.

Sperm Donation

Sperm donation is the process of using sperm from a third party to fertilise a woman’s egg and help achieve pregnancy.

Embryo Donation

Embryo donation is a treatment where embryos from another woman or couple are transferred to a recipient to help them achieve pregnancy.
